This Friday the wait for the Breaking Bad movie El Camino finally ends. The direct follow up to series finale Felina follows what happened to Jesse Pinkman next after he escaped from the Nazis who held him captive. It’s been six years since Breaking Bad ended, but fans have been wondering if El Camino could kick start a series revival of the hit show, especially if Walter White turns out to be alive. Now Jesse star Aaron Paul has spoken out on the possibility.
On returning, Paul said: “People were just so passionate, and wanted answers. “Asking when the next series of Breaking Bad was gonna be – you can put that dream away – wanting to know what happens to Jesse.
“And what happened to Jesse.”
So by the sounds of it, El Camino really is the end of the Breaking Bad story, an epilogue to tie up some loose ends in Jesse’s character arc – a chance at redemption.
While Paul has kept his mouth shut about what happens in El Camino, he has revealed that the script left him speechless.
According to The New York Times, he said: “I couldn’t speak for a good 30, 60 seconds. I was just lost in my thoughts.
“As the guy who played the guy, I was so happy that Vince wanted to take me on this journey.”
But will Bryan Cranston’s Walter White or other familiar Breaking Bad characters be back?
Paul replied: “All I can say, I think people will be really happy with what they see.”
